Experience the refined art of fine Japanese dining with the Yamachiku Ultra-Thin Urushi Bamboo Chopsticks in Beige.

Handcrafted in Kumamoto, Japan, by master artisans who have specialized in bamboo craftsmanship since 1963, these slender chopsticks are designed for exceptional precision and comfort. Featuring an extra-fine, tapered tip, they allow you to pick up delicate food items from single grains of rice and tender fish to small garnishes with effortless grace.

The chopsticks combine a contemporary off-white/beige upper handle with a traditional natural Urushi (Japanese tree sap lacquer) finish at the tips. Renowned for its natural durability, water resistance, and smooth feel, the Urushi coating protects the organic bamboo while preserving its lightweight warmth.

Whether elevating your everyday meals or setting an elegant table for guests, Yamachiku’s minimal, minimalist design brings functional Japanese craftsmanship straight to your dining experience.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Located in the bamboo-rich hills of Kumamoto Prefecture, Yamachiku has been dedicated strictly to crafting bamboo chopsticks since its founding in 1963. While most chopsticks sold in Japan today rely on imported timber, Yamachiku remains steadfastly committed to using 100% locally harvested Japanese bamboo.

By utilizing sustainable bamboo thinning practices, Yamachiku not only helps preserve Kyushu’s natural mountain forests but transforms raw material into beautifully tactile, award-winning table culture. Their philosophy merges traditional regional craftsmanship with contemporary design, creating enduring tools meant to welcome you home to every meal.
