Founded in 1948 in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, Takada (Takada Kozo Shoten) is a premier heritage workshop specializing in traditional tawashi brushes and brooms. For over seven decades, Takada’s master craftspeople have preserved the rare art of harvesting and hand-selecting Shuro (windmill palm) fibers. Renowned for their exceptionally soft touch, flexibility, and longevity, Takada’s palm products elevate humble household cleaning tools into beautiful, tactile pieces of functional craft meant to enrich daily life.
